When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a fiction writer like Judy Blume. These days, I specialize in nonfiction, but sometimes I feel like I’m not a far cry from the 9-year-old girl with a bad perm and New Kids on the Block tee shirt lying on her bedroom floor, writing stories in her spiral bound notebook.
I live in Atlanta and my first “real gig” in this city was Society and Nightlife Editor at Jezebel Magazine, a local mag about luxury living. It was truly a dream job for a 22-year-old, if you can imagine. These days, I still enjoy covering the nightlife scene, but also write about travel, fitness/adventure, music, dating and relationships, people, the obstacles and hilarity that define your twenties, and basically anything except politics or religion (but you never know…). My work has appeared in GO Magazine (AirTran Airways in-flight publication), Competitor Magazine, Jezebel Magazine (obviously), Creative Loafing, DailyCandy.com, Metromix.com, DateNightMag.com, and more.
On this site, you can read my work and I hope you enjoy browsing and clicking around. Click on CONTACT to hit me up!
